Travel, design, and problem solving have always been a part of Suzanne’s everyday life, shaped in part by her father who spent more than forty years as a design engineer, unintentionally setting the bar high.

With more than 25 years in residential architecture, she has focused on design and the detailed, code intensive work that keeps projects moving from concept to construction. She believes good documentation is not just paperwork. It is what keeps projects organized, budgets intact, and surprises to a minimum.

In 2025, she co founded W+R Design Studio with a focus on helping clients move through the design and construction process with clarity and confidence. Her design perspective is shaped in part by a lifetime of travel and an appreciation for spaces that feel both functional and memorable.

Born in Germany and raised in the Midwest, Billy grew up with a mix of old-world practicality and Midwestern common sense. That combination still shows up in his work. Keep it simple. Build it right. Make it last.

With decades of experience in residential and commercial design, he has worked on everything from custom homes to complex renovations and additions where nothing is quite square and every project brings its own challenges. He understands that good design is not only about how it looks on paper. It must work on site, in real conditions, and within budget.
